The VISALIA Tri Club (VTC) provides a support network and a variety of group training opportunities for fitness-minded people in the Central Valley.
Our Mission is to build a club where individuals can experience athletic growth, acquire knowledge and form common bonds of fellowship.

The club welcomes anyone who wants to train/compete in only one discipline just as much as all three and maybe even more. Local triathletes started VTC as a way to encourage an outdoor, healthy lifestyle. The group organizes events such as bike rides and runs, encourages friendships, supports athletes competing at races, offers discounts on races and services, and provides access to trusted, professional fitness experts.
From the President- Justin Levine
After a great meeting with club members Josh Hickey and Teresa Loverro, we have created a few new workouts during the week. These workouts will be scheduled consistently throughout the summer.
Tuesday at 5:30 am, the morning cycle class will be changed to a group run. We want to schedule more runs in the morning when the weather is cooler. We will meet at Starbucks on Goshen and Akers at 5:20 am and depart at 5:30 am. All levels are welcomed. The plan is to run for 60-90 minutes. We will mix-up the route to keep the variety. After the run, we can have coffee and hang out for a few minutes.
Thursday at 6:00 am, there will be another group run planned. Teresa will lead this run and it will be a 45-75 minute run. All levels are encouraged to join. Meeting place will be right across the street from Mooney’s Grove, in the County Office parking lot. Show up 5-10 minutes before 6:00 am to warm up.
Friday at 5:30 pm, we are scheduling a swim workout at Mt. Whitney. This will happen every Friday, unless noted. (The swim on Thursday will be cancelled since I am adding it on Friday)
Again, these workouts will be scheduled consistently throughout the Summer. I am hoping these new workouts will encourage club participation.
Another cool feature that has been created is a Google Calendar that can be shared between the club to schedule workouts. You must set up a google account to have access to this feature. If you have a workout that you would like to invite other members to, please add it to the Google Calendar. And then we all have to make sure to check the calendar throughout the week to see if there are any workouts we can attend. If you have any questions or problems, just let me know. There might be minor tweaks to take care of first, but we will work out the bugs. I feel this will be a good way to get club members more in contact during the week to train.
